Steven Croft - Beloved Blue River
| STEVEN CROFT lives on the coast of Georgia at the southern edge of the Altamaha River estuary. He has made many pleasurable trips to the Ichetucknee. A poet, his work has appeared in Canary: A Literary Journal of the Environmental Crisis, Tiny Seed Literary Journal, Otway Journal, Quaci Press Magazine, and other places.

Ichetucknee

Peace floating on blue cold flow

downriver

past knees of cypress,

chiaroscuro of light in forest,

limestone caves under banks — then,

the paddlers racing the current

pass by, their joy

forgivable,

contagious
