| John (Johnny) Dame, Jr., an artist who has painted the Ichetucknee and other waterways throughout Florida, has Native American ancestry. He was asked by the owners of Rum 138 in southern Columbia County, Florida, to perform this water blessing at a special event. Would similar blessing ceremonies by members of religious or spiritual groups, or even by solitary practitioners, help to change our relationship with water in positive ways?
