| DRIFTING through a Moment in Time
Fall leaf drifting through a moment in time. Its vivid orange a stark contrast to the soft
coolness of the water. Sparkling sunlight twinkles on the leaf’s edge. The crystal clear
waters of the head spring are shimmering and undulating in the light. The way the leaf is
gently supported by the water as if suspended in midair. The surface tension is
palpable. Ripples gently emanate from their source. A tiny minnow passes by seemingly
without a care in the world. Drifting together in time. This microcosm of life, this moment
in time, captured in a fraction of a second.

Reflections of a New Day

The spring waters are like sparkling sapphires. The fish leap in exaltation of the day. It is
utterly peaceful as a swallowtail butterfly flits about. It lands on the ground just before
me. It feels like reassurance. The sunlight twinkles on the water’s surface twirling and
swirling about like dancers celebrating the dawn. The reflections of a new day ripple
between bits of rich turquoise hinting at the life source hiding just below the surface.
The light continues its dance in-between the leaping fish. Subtle flicks of light amidst the
fishy splashes. The birds call out their good mornings.
Through the Looking Glass

Crystal clear waters mirror the sky above. A slight disturbance sets the whole thing a
rippling. It feels as though we’ve been beckoned to step through the looking glass. The
eel grass, like long graceful fingers call you closer with their come-hither motions. The
subtle hints of iridescent water catch the eye like rainbow gemstones glistening. What
will we find through this looking glass of cool refreshing waters? Another world more
beautiful than this? How could anything surpass the beauty of shimmering spring
waters? Staring transfixed, wondering if there is something more or less than this. Who
really knows?
